{"id":201857,"date":"2022-12-06T17:13:40","date_gmt":"2022-12-06T09:13:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=201857"},"modified":"2022-12-06T17:23:08","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T09:23:08","slug":"three-killed-as-ukrainian-drones-strike-airfields-deep-inside-russia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=201857","title":{"rendered":"Three Killed As Ukrainian Drones Strike Airfields Deep Inside Russia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>MOSCOW, Dec 6 (NNN-TASS) &#8211; Ukraine launched a drone attack against two military airfields deep inside Russia, yesterday morning, leaving three Russian servicemen dead, and four others injured, the Russian Defence Ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Soviet-made jet drones targeted the &#8220;Dyagilevo&#8221; airfield, in the Ryazan region near Moscow, and the &#8220;Engels&#8221; airfield in the Saratov region, in a bid to disable Russian long-range aircraft, the ministry said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Russian air defence intercepted the Ukrainian drones flying at a low altitude, but the fall and explosion of fragments of the drones slightly damaged the skin of the hull of two planes at the airfields, it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three Russian servicemen of the technical staff were killed and four more soldiers were wounded in the rare long-range attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministry said, Russia in retaliation carried out a massive strike with high-precision air- and sea-based weapons, hitting 17 targets and disrupting Ukraine&#8217;s transfer of reserves, foreign-supplied weapons, military equipment and ammunition to the combat areas by rail.&#8211; NNN-TASS &nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MOSCOW, Dec 6 (NNN-TASS) &#8211; Ukraine launched a drone attack against two military airfields deep inside Russia, yesterday morning, leaving three Russian servicemen dead, and four others injured, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
