{"id":193912,"date":"2022-10-03T13:47:07","date_gmt":"2022-10-03T05:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=193912"},"modified":"2022-10-03T13:51:12","modified_gmt":"2022-10-03T05:51:12","slug":"malaysias-manufacturing-pmi-fell-below-50-in-sept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=193912","title":{"rendered":"Malaysia&#8217;s Manufacturing PMI Fell Below 50 In Sept"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 (NNN-BERNAMA) &#8211; The seasonally adjusted S&amp;P Global Malaysia manufacturing purchasing managers&#8217; index (PMI), moved back to under the 50 mark in Sept, posting 49.1 from 50.3 in Aug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest reading was the lowest for a year, according to an S&amp;P statement today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Averaging 50.0 over the third quarter of the year, the PMI represents a just over five percent year-on-year growth of gross domestic product (GDP) in Malaysia, indicating some loss of momentum, compared to the second quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, the latest data suggested a softening in the rate of expansion signalled by the official manufacturing data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Central to the loss of momentum in the latest survey period were reports of waning customer demand.
