KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (NNN-BERNAMA) — Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) journalist Sakina Mohamed, 39, has been awarded the prestigious Khazanah Wolfson Press Fellowship at Cambridge University, United Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Strategic Writing Desk sub-editor will undergo a 10-week programme which will run from April 15 until June 21 at Wolfson College, one of the 31 colleges of Cambridge University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The other recipients are \u2018Health and Living\u2019 programme producer at BFM Radio, Tina Carmillia Adrian and Khazanah Nasional Berhad corporate communications vice president Serina Joon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy research topic will be on how to use sentiment analysis to improve journalism, so that we can push the change of policies,\u201d she told Bernama after receiving the fellowship award here today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Kuala Lumpur-born also hopes to gain more exposure and knowledge during the programme and expects to share them with her colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Khazanah has been sponsoring the fellowship since 2013 and its managing director Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan presented the award letter to the three recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BERNAMA Editor-in-Chief Datuk Zakaria Abdul Wahab who was also present at the ceremony said the news agency was proud and honoured that its journalist had been selected for the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
