{"id":191351,"date":"2022-09-15T10:55:30","date_gmt":"2022-09-15T02:55:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=191351"},"modified":"2022-09-15T10:55:31","modified_gmt":"2022-09-15T02:55:31","slug":"malaysian-ringgit-stays-above-rm4-52-vs-us-dollar-in-early-trade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=191351","title":{"rendered":"Malaysian ringgit stays above RM4.52 vs US dollar in early trade"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 (NNN-Bernama) &#8212;\u00a0The Malaysian ringgit stayed above RM4.52 level against the US dollar at the opening Thursday as the greenback continued\u00a0its relentless rise towards an all-time high in response to the United States\u2019 latest bullish core Producer Price Index (PPI) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At 9.05 am, the local currency slid to 4.5270\/5305&nbsp;against the greenback from&nbsp;4.5265\/5285 at Wednesday\u2019s close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ActivTrades trader&nbsp;Dyogenes Rodrigues Diniz said the US PPI data recorded&nbsp;a higher-than-expected reading of&nbsp;7.3 per cent&nbsp;versus the 7.1 per cent&nbsp;forecast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFrom the&nbsp;technical point of view, the last time the US dollar hit an all-time high against&nbsp;the ringgit&nbsp;was in November 2016, when it reached 4.5380.
