{"id":176718,"date":"2022-05-23T14:45:21","date_gmt":"2022-05-23T06:45:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=176718"},"modified":"2022-05-23T14:50:43","modified_gmt":"2022-05-23T06:50:43","slug":"jordan-condemns-israeli-decision-allowing-extremists-to-pray-at-al-aqsa-mosque","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=176718","title":{"rendered":"Jordan Condemns Israeli Decision Allowing &#8220;Extremists&#8221; To Pray At Al-Aqsa Mosque"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>AMMAN, May 23 (NNN-PETRA) &#8211; Jordan yesterday condemned an Israeli court decision, allowing &#8220;extremists&#8221; to pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jordan&#8217;s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Haitham Abu Al-Foul, said that, the decision is null and void, which &#8220;lacks legal status under international law that does not recognise Israeli jurisdiction on territories occupied in 1967, including East Jerusalem,&#8221; according to a ministry statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abu Al-Foul stressed that, the decision is considered a blatant breach of international legitimacy resolutions, related to Jerusalem, including the UN Security Council resolutions that urge all to maintain the status quo of the holy city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also stressed that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is &#8220;a place of worship for Muslims only,&#8221; and the Jordan-run Department of the Jerusalem Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs is the only institution for administering the affairs of the mosque.&#8211; NNN-PETRA  &nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AMMAN, May 23 (NNN-PETRA) &#8211; Jordan yesterday condemned an Israeli court decision, allowing &#8220;extremists&#8221; to pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem.
