{"id":171050,"date":"2022-04-07T17:06:58","date_gmt":"2022-04-07T09:06:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=171050"},"modified":"2022-04-07T17:06:59","modified_gmt":"2022-04-07T09:06:59","slug":"indonesias-elite-race-maybank-marathon-set-to-return-in-august","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=171050","title":{"rendered":"Indonesia\u2019s elite race, Maybank Marathon, set to return in August"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Mohd Iswandi Kasan Anuar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JAKARTA, April 7 (NNN-Bernama) &#8212; Maybank Indonesia will hold the Maybank Marathon on Aug 28 with the starting line at the Bali Safari and Marine Park, Gianyar, Bali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Themed as one-decade anniversary celebration, the 11th Maybank Marathon 2022 in Bali will feature Marathon (42.195-kilometre) category, Half-Marathon (21.1 km), and 10K races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybank Indonesia&#8217;s president director, Taswin Zakaria said the bank aims to elevate the event to become the icon of world-class sports tourism in Indonesia, especially in Bali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope that the upcoming Maybank Marathon 2022 can contribute to the economy, and encourage the recovery momentum of the Bali tourism industry,\u201d he said in a statement Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said World Athletics, formerly known as the International Association of Athletics Federations, acknowledged the event as an &#8216;Elite Label&#8217; road race in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Maybank Marathon has also become a qualifying event for the National Games (PON) and the first Boston Marathon qualifying race in Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration for the Maybank Marathon 2022 will be available via&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.maybank.co.id\/Maybank-Marathon\">www.maybank.co.id\/Maybank-Marathon<\/a>&nbsp;starting April 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Race Pack Collection Day, a separate event catered to runners, will take place on Aug 26-27 at Taman Bhagawan, Benoa, Bali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212; NNN-BERNAMA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Mohd Iswandi Kasan Anuar JAKARTA, April 7 (NNN-Bernama) &#8212; Maybank Indonesia will hold the Maybank Marathon on Aug 28 with the starting line at the Bali Safari and Marine Park, Gianyar, Bali.
