Photo by Chaiwat Subprasom\/Courtesy of SOPA Images via ZUMA Wire\/dpa<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5>By Linda Khoo<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>BANGKOK, March 28&nbsp;(NNN-BERNAMA) \u2013 The pro-junta Palang Pracharat Party claimed it is in talks with some parties to form a stable coalition however there is \u2018no rush\u2019 to form the next government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Party leader Uttama Savanayana was reluctant to disclose the parties involved in the talks as well as number of seats it targeted to achieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said \u201cthere are lots of time\u201d for the negotiation process as the official election result would only be announced by May 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have been talking to both big and small parties. The party (Palang Pracharat) is confident to achieve&nbsp;the number,\u201d he said at a press conference at party headquarters, here Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uttama said supporting General Prayuth Chan-ocha as prime minister would be one of the condition in the talks with parties who had&nbsp;the same political ideology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will make sure the seats (to form a coalition) are as many as possible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the people were expecting a smooth formation of the new government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We never blocked anyone to form a new government,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuesday,&nbsp;Pheu Thai\u2019s prime minister candidate, Sudarat Keyuraphan said Palang Pracharat was trying to form a coalition although it failed to win the most seats in Sunday polls.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier Wednesday, Pheu Thai, the party linked to former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, and six other parties&nbsp; claimed to have at least 255 seats to form the next Thai government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pheu Thai\u2019s prime minister candidate, Sudarat said the other six parties joining the coalition were Future Forward Party, Seri Ruam Thai, Prachachart, Pheu Chart, Thai People Power Party and New Economics Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;NNN-BERNAMA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Linda Khoo BANGKOK, March 28&nbsp;(NNN-BERNAMA) \u2013 The pro-junta Palang Pracharat Party claimed it is in talks with some parties to form a stable coalition however there is \u2018no rush\u2019 to form the next government.
