WASHINGTON, March 28 (NNN-AGENCIES) \u2013 US President Donald Trump demanded that Russia drop support for Venezuela\u2019s Pres Nicolas Maduro
after Moscow deployed troops and equipment to bolster the hard-left
government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRussia has to get out,\u201d Trump said at the White House alongside Fabiana
Rosales, wife of opposition leader Juan Guaido, who has been recognized by
the United States and more than 50 other countries as Venezuela\u2019s interim
president in place of Maduro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rosales was given a high-profile reception in the Trump administration\u2019s
latest bid to boost Guaido, who is under severe pressure from Moscow-backed Maduro. On Thursday, she will meet with US First Lady Melania Trump in Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump said \u201call options are on the table\u201d when asked by journalists if the
United States was considering military action to back up a major campaign of economic sanctions aimed at crippling the Maduro government\u2019s finances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve got a lot of pressure right now. They have no money, they have no
oil, they have no nothing. They\u2019ve got plenty of pressure right now. They
have no electricity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOther than military you can\u2019t get any more pressure than they have \u2026
All options are open.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, Rosales met separately with Vice President Mike Pence, who plays
a major role in the administration\u2019s aggressive stand against Maduro, and
also called out Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said \u201cthe United States views Russia\u2019s arrival of military planes this
weekend as an unwelcome provocation and we call on Russia today to cease all support for the Maduro regime.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGuaido is the only legitimate president of Venezuela. Venezuela is in
