{"id":164505,"date":"2022-02-18T16:02:12","date_gmt":"2022-02-18T08:02:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=164505"},"modified":"2022-02-18T16:02:12","modified_gmt":"2022-02-18T08:02:12","slug":"argentina-plans-to-set-up-state-run-national-food-company-to-regulate-domestic-prices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=164505","title":{"rendered":"Argentina plans to set up state-run National Food Company to regulate domestic prices"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.mercopress.com\/data\/cache\/noticias\/86248\/0x0\/farg4.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/en.mercopress.com\/data\/cache\/noticias\/86248\/760x480\/farg4.jpg\" alt=\"\u201dWe need a break with international prices in wheat, corn, meat and milk,\u201d Feletti said\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>BUENOS AIRES, Feb 18 (NNN-MERCOPRESS) &#8212; The Government of Argentina is planning to create a National Food Company as a measure to curb inflation, keep prices under control and help small and medium producers, Presidential Spokeswoman Gabriela Cerruti said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInflation is a damage to the Argentine table and the Government is evaluating a solution, not because it is politically interested, but because it is its duty to change people&#8217;s lives,\u201d Cerruti explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also admitted presidential advisors were considering the creation of a state-run food company which would guarantee low prices and help small producers of fresh vegetables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The spokeswoman acknowledged there was an increase in the prices of vegetables which were not included in recent agreements between Governments and Producers and said the issue was being addressed.
