{"id":125859,"date":"2021-06-10T11:11:46","date_gmt":"2021-06-10T03:11:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=125859"},"modified":"2021-06-10T11:11:49","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T03:11:49","slug":"special-meeting-of-malay-rulers-at-istana-negara-on-june-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/namnewsnetwork.org\/?p=125859","title":{"rendered":"Special Meeting Of Malay Rulers At Istana Negara On June 16"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 (NNN-Bernama) &#8212; A Special Meeting of Malay Rulers will be held at Istana Negara (national palace) on June 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negara Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said the meeting, to be held upon the consent from the Malaysian King Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri\u2019ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, would discuss the efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 and its implementation during the emergency period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Special Meeting of Malay Rulers is His Majesty\u2019s initiative and will be chaired by the King himself,\u201d he said in a statement here Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Jan 12, Al-Sultan Abdullah proclaimed an emergency that will be enforced up to Aug 1 as a proactive measure to contain the worsening COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Special Meeting of Malay Rulers is the second to be held at Istana Negara since Al-Sultan Abdullah ascended the federal throne on Jan 31, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first meeting was held on Oct 25 last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212; NNN-BERNAMA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 (NNN-Bernama) &#8212; A Special Meeting of Malay Rulers will be held at Istana Negara (national palace) on June 16.
