KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 (NNN-Bernama) —\u00a0Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has been recognised as one of the high performing organisations in Willis Towers Watson (WTW) 2020 High Performance Companies normative benchmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement today, the country\u2019s largest bank by assets said this \nwas the fifth time that it had been acknowledged as an organisation with\n outstanding and sustained financial performance, and for its strong \ncommitment and focus on employee experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It said the recognition also put Maybank on par with WTW\u2019s 34 global \ncompanies which include renowned organisations such as Royal Bank of \nCanada, Groupe Danone, Coca Cola, AstraZeneca and AT&T.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WTW cited Maybank as having amongst the most positive employee \nexperience across the globe, and also being quick to carefully \naccelerate its crisis plans since January 2020 amid the COVID-19 \npandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maybank group chief human capital officer Nora Manaf said over the \nyear, the bank had designed learning programmes to ease its employees’ \ntransition into a work from home arrangement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe also put in place support systems, engagements to continuously \ninstil pride and belonging, to ensure the employees are fit emotionally,\n mentally, physically and are performing to their best,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WTW country managing director Lim Chin Han said a key factor to \nMaybank\u2019s success is its willingness to help employees find their voice \nwithin the organisation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy focusing on each employee as an individual, Maybank looks to \nfurther careers by developing skills and to provide a clear path to \nsuccess, which in turn builds a strong sense of purpose within the \nindividual,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
