S.Korea Reports 124 More Covid-19 Cases, 26,635 In Total

SEOUL, Nov 1 (NNN-YONHAP) – South Korea reported 124 more cases of COVID-19 today, compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 26,635.

The daily caseload hovered above 100 for the fifth consecutive day, due to small cluster infections in Seoul and its surrounding Gyeonggi province, as well as, imported cases.

Of the new cases, 45 were Seoul residents and 36 were people residing in Gyeonggi province.

Twenty-three were imported from overseas, lifting the combined figure to 3,778. Two more deaths were confirmed, leaving the death toll at 466. The total fatality rate stood at 1.75 percent.

A total of 46 more patients were discharged from quarantine after making full recovery, pulling up the combined number to 24,357. The total recovery rate was 91.44 percent.

Since Jan 3, the country has tested more than 2.63 million people, among whom 2,579,157 tested negative for the virus and 24,838 are being checked.– NNN-YONHAP
