Myanmar Extends COVID-19 Restriction Until End Of Nov

YANGON, Oct 28 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, on Tuesday, announced the extension of COVID-19 restrictive measures until Nov 30, to curb the spread of the virus.

The extension will be applied to the temporary entry restrictions for all travellers from foreign countries, temporary suspension of all types of visas, including social visit visas and visa exemption services.

The government has decided to extend the restrictive measures, so as to continue its effective response to protect citizens from the risks of imported cases and spread of COVID-19.

Foreign nationals, including diplomats wishing to visit Myanmar for urgent official missions or compelling reasons, are asked to contact the nearest Myanmar mission, for possible exception to certain visa restrictions.

Myanmar has reported 47,666 COVID-19 cases, with 1,147 deaths as of Tuesday, according to the latest figures released by the Health and Sports Ministry.– NNN-MNA
