CAIRO, Oct 28 (NNN-MENA) – Egypt strongly condemned yesterday’s bomb explosion, at a seminary in Peshawar city, in north-western Pakistan, that resulted in eight deaths and dozens of casualties, said the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
“Egypt renews its total rejection of all forms of terrorism, violence and extremism, and its solidarity with friendly state Pakistan, in this painful affliction,” said the Egyptian statement.
The North African country expressed support for the Pakistani government and people, in the face of “brutal terrorism.”
Earlier yesterday, a bomb attack took place at a seminary in Peshawar, the capital city of Pakistan’s north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, leaving at least eight students dead and over 120 people, including students, wounded.
Although some past attacks were claimed by the Pakistani Taliban, the armed group released a statement condemning yesterday’s blast and denying involvement.– NNN-MENA
