Covid-19: Argentina’s death toll tops 29,000 as Colombia reports 194 more deaths

BUENOS AIRES/BOGOTA, Oct 27 (NNN-Xinhua) — Argentina reported 406 more deaths from COVID-19, pushing the country’s COVID-19 death tally to 29,301, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry also reported 11,712 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 1,102,301, with 909,586 recoveries.

Argentina registered its first COVID-19 case on March 3. The country has prolonged its isolation and social distancing measures until Nov. 8.

Meanwhile, the number of infections in Colombia has reached 1,025,052, with 9,167 new cases registered in the last 24 hours, Colombian health authorities said.

Meanwhile, 194 more deaths were reported, raising the nationwide death toll to 30,348, the authorities said, adding 924,044 people have so far recovered from the disease.

On Monday, representatives of the medical personnel of Colombia held a rally at a plaza in Bogota, where they paid tribute to those who have lost their lives in the battle against COVID-19. — NNN-XINHUA
