DAMASCUS, Oct 26 (NNN-SANA) – Syrian Foreign Minister, Walid al-Moallem, confirmed the Syrian government’s resolve to convene an international conference on Syrian refugees, in Damascus in Nov.
Al-Moallem expressed the Syrian government’s willingness to hold the conference, about the return of Syrian refugees, during his meeting with visiting UN special envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen yesterday.
According to the report, al-Moallem informed the envoy, details of the conference, criticising Western role in creating false pretexts to prevent the return of Syrian refugees to their country.
The conference was first declared by the Russian Foreign Ministry, as it said that Russia would co-organise the conference on Syrian refugees in Damascus in Nov.– NNN-SANA
