HAVANA, Oct 17 (NNN-Prensa Latina) — Cuba thanked France’s support and cooperation for developing vaccines in the Caribbean nation, according to official sources.
On Twitter, the Finlay Institute of Vaccines (IFV) highlighted the excellent collaboration relations that have been forged during the last two years between France and IFV.
French authorities previously gave some details about the meeting between the French ambassador to Cuba Patrice Paoli and Dr. Vicente Velez, IFV’s general director.
Both sides debated about French-Cuban cooperation in the vaccine sector, which has been supported by the French Development Agency, according to the French embassy in Havana.
IFV is developing Soberana 01, the first Cuban and Latin American vaccine against Covid-19 that is currently in clinical trials.
Soberana 01 is an adaptive, multicentric, controlled and randomized clinical trial, in which volunteers are vaccinated in two of its variants, a lower and a higher dose, or the control product: the Cuban anti-meningococcal vaccine VA-MENGOC-BC, IFV’s one of leading products. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
