YANGON, Oct 12 (NNN-MNA) – The total number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar increased to 27,974 as of yesterday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.
A total of 1,910 more COVID-19 confirmed cases were reported in the country.
The death toll reached 646 with 48 newly reported deaths yesterday.
According to the ministry’s figures, 9,742 patients have been discharged from hospitals, and a total of 413,961 samples have been tested, so far.
Meanwhile, the ministry announced that the CMP (cut-make-package) factories, workplaces and SMEs located in Yangon region, where the stay-at-home order has been imposed, will be allowed for resumption of operation starting from today based on the decision of the National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of COVID-19.
