New Zealand Reports Four New Cases Of COVID-19, 1,514 In Total

WELLINGTON, Oct 10 (NNN-AGENCIES) – New Zealand reported four new cases of COVID-19 today, said the Ministry of Health in a statement.

All cases reported today were imported cases, detected in the managed isolation facilities, it is said. Two cases arrived from South Africa via Dubai, on Sept 29, while the other two arrived from Iran via Dubai.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to the World Health Organisation has reached 1,514.

The total number of active cases is currently 44, while no COVID-19 patient is in hospital and no active community case.

Laboratories across New Zealand processed 4,814 tests, bringing the total number of tests completed to date to 996,955.

The country is at COVID-19 Alert Level 1, with no restriction on events or gathering sizes.

The Ministry of Health asked sports fans to follow good health advice, when attending weekend sports games.– NNN-AGENCIES
