YANGON, Oct 8 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar reported 1,400 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.
The newly confirmed cases brought the total number of infection cases of COVID-19 in the country to 21,433.
A total of 39 more COVID-19 deaths were also reported in the country on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll in the country to 510, the release said.
According to the ministry’s figures, 6,084 patients have been discharged from hospitals so far.
A total of 355,271 samples had been tested for COVID-19 so far, the ministry’s figures said.
