RIYADH, Oct 3 (NNN-SPA) – Saudi Arabia will allow pilgrims residing inside the country, to perform the Umrah (minor Haj), beginning tomorrow.
A total of 309,686 Umrah permits have been issued, the report said.
The decision to resume the pilgrimage came, seven months after it was suspended, to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The report also said, foreign pilgrims will be accepted from Nov 1.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry announced on Friday, the registration of 481 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total cases to 335,578. The death toll reached 4,823 with the reporting of 29 new fatalities.– NNN-SPA
