YANGON, Sept 7 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar reported 45 more new COVID-19 confirmed cases this morning, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.
The newly-confirmed cases brought the total number of infections in the country to 1,464.
Due to the recent increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the country, the Myanmar government, late last night announced, only half of its staff to attend offices on a rotational basis, starting from Wednesday.
A total of 166,433 samples have been tested and 7,766 patients are currently under investigation, the ministry said.
According to the ministry, 385 patients recovered from the disease.
Myanmar reported its first two positive cases of COVID-19 on Mar 23, with eight deaths being reported so far.– NNN-MNA
