Myanmar’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 1,253 With More Local Transmissions

YANGON, Sept 6 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar recorded 37 new COVID-19 cases last night, bringing the number of total cases in the country to 1,253, said a release from the Health and Sports Ministry.

Of the 1,619 samples, 37 more people, including a returnee, tested positive in Yangon, Mandalay, Ayeyarwaddy, Rakhine, Shan and Nay Pyi Taw, respectively.

As of Saturday, 371 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease and the deaths from the virus stand at seven.

COVID-19 was first detected in Myanmar on Mar 23, and the first death was reported on Mar 31.– NNN-MNA
