Hanoi, Feb 17 (NNN- Prensa Latina) Several officials from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) arrived in Hanoi on Saturday to prepare the summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump.
According to the Voice of Vietnam, Kim Chang-son, Kim’s close aide and head of his cabinet, leads the group. The radio station reported that the North Korean delegation will discuss with US officials some details of the agenda that Kim and Trump will address and other issues related to the meeting.
The second summit between the two leaders will take place in Hanoi on February 27-28. The first one was held in Singapore in June 2018.
At the time, Kim Chang-son was one of the officials who accompanied the chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK. His presence in Hanoi follows a visit by Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh to Pyongyang from Tuesday to Thursday.
There are persistent rumors in diplomatic and media circles about Kim Jong Un’s official visit to Vietnam, before or after the summit, but no government has confirmed it or denied it.
