NEW DELHI, Aug 26 (NNN-UNI) – A woman and an 11-month-old child died, in a house collapse incident, in India’s central state of Madhya Pradesh last night, a police official confirmed over phone today.
The two-storey house collapsed in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas city.
According to Dewas’ Superintendent of Police, Shiv Dayal Singh, a total of 11 persons, including five women, were rescued from the debris of the collapsed house.
Rescue work continued throughout the night and was completed this morning, said Singh.
It was the second building collapse incident in India this week.
On Monday, a building collapsed in Mahad, southwestern state of Maharashtra, in which 11 people were killed.– NNN-UNI
