KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) — Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Malaysia Berhad (“SMBCMY”) announced today the appointment of Mr Mohammed Nizar Faisal, 49 as its new Deputy Chief Executive Officer, effective 6 July 2020. He replaces Mr Anthony Lim Choon Eng who has retired on 26 July 2020.
“The appointment of Mr Mohammed Nizar Faisal will be an asset for SMBCMY as we grow our presence in Malaysia. He will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive the growth of our Corporate Banking and Transaction Banking businesses,” says President and Chief Executive Officer of SMBCMY, Mr Tetsuya Kainaka.
