KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 (NNN-BERNAMA) — A mild earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale was detected in Semporna, Sabah at 10.01 this morning.
In a statement here today, Malaysia Meteorology Department said that the earthquake took place at a depth of 10 km, 14 km west of Semporna.
The department said based on initial assessment, the people could have also felt the tremors.
The situation would continue to be monitored, the department added.
