TOKYO, July 30 (NNN-NHK) – At least 11 people were injured in an explosion, this morning, in Japan’s Fukushima Prefecture, local firefighters said.

According to the firefighters, the explosion, which occurred at around 9.00 a.m. local time, is believed to have been caused by a gas leak.

Given the location of the blast, it is likely to have occurred at a shabu shabu-style hot pot restaurant, according to people who work at a nearby bank.

Two employees at the bank and two customers were injured and rushed to the hospital, other bank workers said.
