KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) — The Special Cabinet Committee on Anti-Corruption (JKKMAR) in its meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, YAB Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin bin Haji Mohd. Yassin, on 25 June 2020 has decided that all ministries and government agencies responsible for issuing licences and permits must publish guidelines which should be made available online for public information. JKKMAR has also mandated Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), who is also the Secretariat for PEMUDAH to assist in ensuring the comprehensive implementation of the initiative at the federal and state government levels.
The implementation of the initiative aims to create a more transparent mechanism in the process of issuing licences and permits, improve the integrity of public service delivery, and prevent corruption and misconduct.
