BEIRUT, Lebanon, Feb 13 (NNN-NNA) – Saudi envoy, Nizar al-Aloula, said that, over 20 agreements between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon will be activated, now that the new Lebanese government has been formed.
“We were waiting, just like the Lebanese, for the formation of a government in Lebanon,” al-Aloula was quoted as saying, upon his arrival at Beirut’s airport, in an official visit to Lebanon.
Al-Aloula said, Saudi Arabia has started communicating with the Lebanese government, and business between the two countries will soon be back on track.
Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid al-Bukhari, announced last year that Lebanon and Saudi Arabia will sign around 21 economic agreements, following the formation of the new Lebanese government.
Al-Bukhari added that, there will be a great transformation in economic ties between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, after the cabinet formation.
Al-Aloula’s trip comes, after Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, ended his visit to Lebanon on Monday.– NNN-NNA
