JERUSALEM, June 24 (NNN-MA’AN) – Israel reported 430 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the highest daily number since Apr 22.
This brings the total number of coronavirus cases in Israel to 21,512, of which 5,335 are currently active cases, the highest since May 6.
The number of death cases increased from 307 to 308, while the number of patients in serious condition fell from 44 to 40.
Also, the number of recoveries rose to 15,869, with 101 new recoveries.
Earlier on Tuesday, a special ministerial committee decided to declare the central city of Elad and certain neighbourhoods in the northeastern city of Tiberias as “restricted areas” due to high morbidity rates.
This measure limits entry and exit of the restricted areas, in order to maintain public health.
Thus, residents of restricted areas may leave only for essential medical care, legal proceedings or a funeral of a first-degree family member.– NNN-MA’AN
