HANOI, June 20 (NNN-VNA) – The 14th National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam, the country’s top legislature, wrapped up its ninth session here on Friday, completing all items of its working agenda.
The lawmakers discussed the implementation of socio-economic development plans and state budget, NA Chairwoman, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, said in her closing speech.
It proposed measures to restore production and businesses, maintain macroeconomic stability, control inflation, ensure social security, employment and people’s livelihood, amid impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ngan noted.
The NA adopted 10 laws and 21 resolutions, and reviewed six other draft laws, which cover various fields.
The NA session was held online, from May 20 to May 29, before gathering in Hanoi for plenary meetings from June 8 to June 19.– NNN-VNA
