DUBAI, May 31 (NNN-WAM) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Saturday, announced 726 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 33,896.
UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), said in a statement, the new cases, which include many nationalities, are in a stable condition and receiving medical treatment.
It said, 449 more patients have made full recovery from the virus, taking the tally of the UAE’s recoveries to 17,546. The ministry also confirmed two more deaths, pushing the country’s death toll to 262.
The UAE has been showing solidarity with China in its fight against the novel coronavirus.
On Feb 2 and Mar 12, the iconic landmarks in the UAE, including Burj Khalifa in Dubai, were lit up twice in the colours of China’s national flag, to show its solidarity with China.
In late Apr, the Chinese consulate general in Dubai, organised an online conference for Chinese doctors and medical experts to share experiences in preventing and treating the coronavirus with their UAE counterparts.– NNN-WAM
