Death Toll Of COVID-19 Rises To 229 With 16,185 Confirmed Cases In Israel

JERUSALEM, May 3 (NNN-MA’AN) – The Israeli Ministry of Health reported 84 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total number to 16,185.

According to the ministry, 437 recoveries were recorded on Saturday, more than five times the number of new patients, raising the total number of recoveries to 9,593.

The number of death cases rose from 225 to 229, while the number of patients in serious condition increased from 103 to 105, out of 304 patients currently hospitalised.

Following the recent reassuring numbers, Israeli schools will partially reopen starting from Sunday (today).

Also on Sunday, the Israeli government is expected to discuss the lifting of other restrictions, which will allow reopening of shopping malls, parks and universities.– NNN-MA’AN
