COVID-19 claims 23 more lives in Indonesia

JAKARTA, April 26 (NNN-BERNAMA) — Indonesia has recorded 23 more deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The government’s spokesperson for the COVID-19-related matters Achmad Yurianto said the new deaths bringing the COVID-19 death toll in the republic to 743 cases while the total number of positive cases stand at 8,882.

“Over the last 24 hours until noon today, 275 new cases were reported while patients under surveillance for COVID-19 stood at 19,648,” he said. 

Jakarta province recorded the most COVID-19 deaths at 353, followed by East Java (87), West Java (77), Central Java (58) and the remaining fatalities reported in other provinces in the republic.
