S. Korea Reports 10 More Covid-19 Cases, 10,718 In Total

SEOUL, Apr 25 (NNN-YONHAP) – South Korea reported 10 more cases of COVID-19, compared to 24 hours ago, as of midnight Saturday local time, raising the total number of infections to 10,718.

The daily caseload hovered around 10 for the seventh consecutive day. Of the new cases, four were imported from overseas, lifting the combined number to 1,027.

No death was confirmed for two straight days. The death toll was 240, and the total fatality rate came in at 2.24 percent.

A total of 134 more patients were discharged from quarantine, after making full recovery, pulling up the combined number to 8,635. The total recovery rate was 80.6 percent.

The Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), updates the data once a day at 10:00 a.m. local time from Mar 10, after having announced it twice a day.

Since Jan 3, the country tested more than 595,000 people, among whom 575,184 tested negative for the virus and 9,259 were being checked.– NNN-YONHAP
