BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Brunei Darussalam, Feb 5 (NNN-PELITA BRUNEI) – Brunei’s Sultan, Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, on Monday, sent a message of goodwill to the Chinese people, ahead of the traditional Chinese lunar New Year celebrations.
After receiving credentials at Istana Nurul Iman, from Yu Hong, the newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to Brunei, the Sultan asked the Chinese ambassador to convey his sincere greetings to Chinese leaders and people.
The Sultan said that, Brunei Darussalam attaches great importance to the traditional and friendly relations with China, and looks forward to making common efforts with the Chinese side, to further promote bilateral relations and develop practical cooperation between the two countries.
Yu Hong said, relations between China and Brunei are currently in its best shape, and as the Chinese ambassador to Brunei, she will make her best efforts to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, to further consolidate the strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries and enhance traditional friendship between the two peoples.
Yu Hong arrived in Bandar Seri Begawan, to assume her office on Jan 16, this year.– NNN-PELITA BRUNEI
