ABUJA, April 22 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Latest total confirmed coronavirus cases across the African continent now stands at 23,517 cases, with 6,116 recoveries.
Africa has recorded some 1,160 related deaths, according to the latest data from the John Hopkins University and Africa Center for Disease Control on COVID-19 in Africa.
According to the reports, the breakdown remains fluid as nations confirm new cases daily.
A number of African countries are now imposing a range of prevention and containment measures against the spread of the pandemic.
“The whole of Africa has rising cases with only two countries holding out as of April 18,” says the reports.
