Argentina to carry out 17 repatriation flights

BUENOS AIRES, April 18 (NNN-Prensa Latina) — The Argentine Government has announced another 17 special flights until April 26 to repatriate over 2.900 Argentinians stranded in several parts of the world.

According to a statement of the Foreign Ministry, Banderas company, Argentine Airlines and Air Force planes, as well as others from private companies, will be in charge of this humanitarian mission which will bring Argentines back from distant places such as Sydney (Australia), Cancun (Mexico) or Guatemala.

The flights, coordinated in conjunction with the Ministries of Transport, Interior, Health, Defense and Security, will cover with two charter flights that will fly on April 19 to Piura and Cusco (Peru); a Fokker F28 plane slated for the same day to Sao Paulo; and there will be two flights slated for April 20, one of them from Latam (Lima) and one Hercules plane from Guayaquil.

Meanwhile, two more flights will be made on April 21, one from Lima by Aerolineas Argentinas and other from Cancun by Wingo Airlines, while the following day the Argentina´s Bandera company will bring Argentinians back home from Cancun.

The schedule includes two flights from Guayaquil on Hercule planes and another one to Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama, by Wingo Airline for April 24; one from Cancun by Latam on April 25 and another flight from Guayaquil, on a Hercules plane on April 26. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
