KHARTOUM, April 16 (NNN-AGENCIES) — The United Nations has warned that around 41 million people in Sudan and Egypt don’t have access to basic hand-washing facilities, increasing their risk of catching coronavirus.

A UN report said that 31 million people in Sudan and 10 million people in Egypt lack the facilities.

Washing your hands is a key part of preventing the spread of viruses such as coronavirus.

Sudan’s health ministry earlier reported 10 new COVID-19 cases, its biggest daily jump so far, bringing total reported infections to 29.

The death toll stands at four, according to the ministry.

Egypt has the highest coronavirus death toll in Africa – a total of 41 people have died of the virus there. It has the second-highest number of confirmed cases – 656 – after South Africa, which has 1,326. — NNN-AGENCIES
