KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 (NNN-BERNAMA) — Another death due to COVID-19 was reported in Malaysia, bringing the cumulative death toll to 24 cases, said Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said the 24th death case involved a 35-year-old Malaysian.
“The individual had a history of travel to Indonesia early this month, beginning to have symptoms five days before admitted to Kuala Lumpur Hospital last March 18.
“The results of the COVID-19 test found the individual positive with the virus on March 20. The patient’s health deteriorated day by day and the victim passed away on March 26 (yesterday) at 9.30 pm,” he said in a statement on his official Facebook account Friday.
