ISLAMABAD, Mar 19 (NNN-APP) – A group pf terrorists attacked a check post in Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and killed two policemen, early Thursday morning, local media reported.
According to the reports, unknown assailants opened fire at the check post in Mamuzai area of Orakzai, a tribal district of the province.
Police, security forces and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the bodies of the policemen, who died on the spot.
Heavy contingents of armed forces reportedly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, to arrest the culprits.
No group claimed the attack yet.
Pakistan’s army, said that, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation against terrorists near the Datta Khel area of the northwest district of North Waziristan, killed seven terrorists, confiscated a heavy cache of arms, ammunition and improvised explosive devices. Four security forces personnel also lost their lives during the combat.– NNN-APP
