KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Mar 16 (NNN-AGENCIES) – Four people have been killed and six others wounded, in a traffic accident in Afghanistan’s southern Kandahar province, a provincial government spokesman said today (Monday).
The deadly incident happened late on Sunday evening, when a wagon-type car, driven from Kandahar to the national capital Kabul, collided with a passenger van, in Pakhkanday, an area near neighbouring Zabul province, Spokesman, Gul Islam Sayal, said.
“Ten passengers were affected in the accident. Four passengers were killed and six others injured, following the incident,” the spokesman said, adding, all the victims were male.
Road mishaps are frequent in the mountainous country, and occur mostly due to poor driving or badly maintained roads and vehicles.– NNN-AGENCIES
