DHAKA, Bangladesh, Jan 31 (NNN-BSS) – A Chinese New Year celebration was held in Bangladesh’s Dhaka University here, on Wednesday night.
Hundreds of people, including students, academicians and dignitaries attended the ceremony, to greet the upcoming Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on Feb 5.
The Chinese embassy in Dhaka, in collaboration with Confucius Institute at Dhaka University, Institute of Modern Languages of Dhaka University, College of Arts and Design at Yunnan University, Dhaka Shangskritik Dal, in Bangladesh and Linkus Network Technology Bangladesh Limited, organised the ceremony.
Artistes from both Bangladesh and China performed at the ceremony, which have earned a big round of applause from hundreds of audience.– NNN-BSS
