TEHRAN, Mar 12 (NNN-IRNA) – Iranian Health Ministry, announced that, the test of a domestically-made medicine, resulted in treatment of symptoms in severe cases of COVID-19, Tehran Times daily reported.
The test of an immuno-modulatory drug, called Actemra, in patients infected by the coronavirus, resulted in the partial recovery of the patients, said Kianush Jahanpur, head of Public Relations and Information Centre of Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
The symptoms declined, 48 hours after consumption of Actemra, Jahanpur said, adding that, the results were found in the scanning process.
Jahanpur, however, said that, the results are preliminary and more trial and research are required.
Iran’s Health Ministry announced on Wednesday, that, a total of 9,000 people have been affected by the disease, of whom 354 people have died.– NNN-IRNA
