SINGAPORE, Mar 8 (NNN-CNA) – Singapore recorded eight new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 138, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said here Saturday.
Four of eight new cases were linked with the new contagious cluster, involving a private dinner function, at the Joy Garden restaurant, in west Singapore. So far 21 cases were reported from this cluster.
Another new case was linked with the previous cluster of the Life Church and Missions Singapore, while two more were imported cases. One case is currently unlinked.
MoH also said that another eight cases have been discharged, part of the total 90 patients, who have fully recovered and been discharged from hospital. The other 48 are still in hospital, and eight of them are under intensive care.
MoH also said, cases in the cluster linked to the private dinner function involved singing activities and classes at community clubs and residents’ committees.
As a result, all activities and classes attended by the confirmed cases at the affected community clubs and residents’ committees will be suspended for 14 days.– NNN-CNA
