DHAKA, Mar 7 (NNN-BSS) – A Nine-day National Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) products fair kicked off in the city a few days ago..
Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, inaugurated the fair at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh.
The SME Foundation is organising the fair at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), said Industries Minister, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, at a press conference at SME Foundation.
The minister said, a total of 296 SME entrepreneurs are showcasing their products at 309 stalls. Products such as jute goods, agriculture, food and leather products, electronic and electrical items are showcased.
Industries Secretary, Md Abdul Halim and SME Foundation Managing Director, Md Shafiqul Islam were also present at the press conference.
Nurul Majid said, this year five best SME entrepreneurs would be awarded. Each businessperson will get Tk one lakh and a crest.
To promote SME entrepreneurs and SME products, the foundation will arrange six seminars. The fair will remain open to all, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm daily, until Thursday. There is no entry fee.– NNN-BSS
