NEW DELHI, Feb 20 (NNN-PTI) – Five members of a family were killed today (Thursday), after their car rammed into a stationary goods truck, in Indian-controlled Kashmir.
Police said, the accident took place at Swanda Morh-Gagwal in Samba district, about 45 km south-east of Jammu, the winter capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.
“The car was coming from Amritsar (Punjab) and heading towards Jammu.”
The cause of the accident was not known. However, police officials suspect rash driving as the reason for the crash.
“Rescue operation was launched by the police, with the help of locals, immediately,” the police official said.
“But all the victims, on arrival at a medical facility, were declared dead by doctors.”– NNN-PTI
