VIENTIANE, Feb 1 (NNN-KPL) – A large number of Lao, foreign visitors, as well as, Vientiane residents, attended Lao Food Festival 2020, held at Chao Anouvong Park, Vientiane Capital, on Jan 28-31.
During the four-day event, there was cooking competition, participated by chefs from northern, central and southern regions of the country.
A lucky draw was also held on the sidelines of the festival by Interplast, to grant burned and scald patients and patients of low income families opportunities to receive free-of-charge correctional surgeries.
In addition, there were free health check-up service by medical professionals from Lao Inter Clinic.
The four-day Lao Food Festival 2020, aimed to promote female entrepreneurs, in areas of food, agriculture, services and provide them opportunities to present and sell their products.
This event also encouraged the exchange of experiences, skills with respect to culinary and hospitality industries.
Around 190 shops and foreign embassies, especially from ASEAN countries, took part in the festival.– NNN-KPL
