Yemen’s Houthi Rebels Waged 26 Attacks On Saudi Airports This Week

SANAA, Feb 1 (NNN-SABA) – Yemen’s Houthi rebels said, they mounted 26 missile and drone attacks on Saudi airports this week.

“A total of 26 missile and drone attacks targeted Saudi airports of Abha, Jizan and Najran, as well as, the Saudi oil giant, Aramco facility, on the Red Sea port city of Jazan,” Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Sarea, said.

The attacks took place between Jan 25 and 30, said Sarea, adding, “attacks were in response to Saudi-led coalition airstrikes.”

Last Sept, the Houthis said, they would halt cross-border attacks against Saudi Arabia, if the Saudi-led coalition halts airstrikes on Yemen.

This promise came after a deadly assault claimed by the Houthis on Aramco’s facilities that temporarily cut half of the Saudi oil output. The United States and Saudi Arabia blamed Iran for the attack, while Tehran denied any involvement.– NNN-SABA
